Adever‘s ISO 14001 accredited project management systems endeavour to ensure the economic use of materials, the minimisation of waste and conservation of energy from a lifecycle perspective.
Waste is reduced at source by effective project planning and procurement management. Any residual waste is segregated, sorted and recycled where practicable.
Adever procure renewable and of re-cycled materials where possible. Our key suppliers purchase their timber from renewable sources accredited under the ‘Forestry Stewardship Council’ (FSC) certification scheme.
Conservation of energy is not only achieved by specification and site management but also through investment in sustainable communities. Locally sourced materials and staff, results in reduced carbon miles and an investment in the local community. Employing local labour, suppliers and subcontractors is one of the core requirements of the wider sustainable development agenda and one which Adever embraces.
Lifecycle assessment represents the true environmental cost of any construction project. At Adever we appreciate that increasing energy costs will be a huge driver in demand for an energy efficient built environment
